Local readers are invited to watch Channel 6 on February 23 at 12 15 for a feature on the discovery of giant men tracks at Glen Rose. Dr D C Dougherty unveils his book Valley of the Giants with new photographs and TV coverage.
The Williams family thanks all who offered kindness during illness and after death, noting flowers, memorials, food, and visits. Mage French S. B. Williams specifically thanks Dr. Witcher nurses and hospital staff for care from February 1 to 8, and thanks friends for visits and cards. Other thanks go to those visiting in hospital, sending cards and flowers, and to Dr. Holder, the hospital staff, and Mrs. Fannie Rhoades.
Pastor F A Heye preached to Our Savior’s congregation with visitors from Dallas Clifton Waco Austin Lewisville and more. Bobby Joe’s birthday parties and a Norse community tour were noted alongside hospital updates a death burial and Lent services.
A patient thanks Dr Gloff, Dr Goodall, and the Goodall Witcher Hospital staff for excellent care. Gratitude extends to Rev James Johnson Rev Robert Raching and Rev Curtis Holland for visits and prayers. Friends sent flowers gifts cards calls.
The Mills family thanks friends and relatives for sympathy and prayers after the death of Welton E. Mills. They especially appreciate Rev. Billy Palmer and Rev. Curtis Holland, Dr. Key, J. B. Darden, and others who sent food and flowers.
County H. D. Agent's Report explains the differences between hamburger and ground beef, including fat content limits of up to 30 percent, permissible additions, and typical meat sources. It notes hamburger may shrink more in cooking and that both products use boneless, less tender cuts. Ground chuck comes from the shoulder.
Last Friday 47 seniors gathered at City Hall for fellowship and games though bad weather and flu kept many home. The group sang Happy Birthday to Mrs Frieda Voges and L L Hollingsworth. Attendance rose to 73 last week and a Spelling Match is planned. This Friday Cindy and Debbie perform from 1 to 5 p.m. at City Hall.
