Colp touts Post Road savings and self funding
D E Colp, a good roads advocate, states the post road cut gas use from eight to five gallons perSan Antonio Austin trip, saving about 3 gallons per car. With 365000 autos daily, he computes a net $288777.50 annual gas saving and a road payback of over $1 million including tires and lubrication. He argues the road pays for itself twice in a year.
