Alma Lena Miasland Weds Luther Ballard in Novice Home
Miss Alma Lena Miasland and Luther Ballard were married Saturday morning at 9 45 at the bride’s parents home with only family present. Rev H Allan conducted the ceremony. Alma Lena, daughter of Mrs and the late K A Mjaaland, is from Novice and attended Civ Heh, class of 24. Ballard, formerly a telephone operator in Cliffethn, now in Novice, will start their life together at the couple’s new home.

Mrs Frank Brittain Dies Monday Afternoon
Mrs Frank Brittain died Monday afternoon at the family home in the Coon Creek community east of Clifton after a long illness. Survived by a husband, several grown children and many grandchildren, she was a well known wife mother and grandmother. Funeral services were conducted by Rev Malley of Ware with interment in Coon Creek cemetery. Elder J E Mullins of this city spoke, noting she was mother to a county war dead who lost his life in France.

A May ivi shower was held Friday afternoon at the home of Aline Odegaard honoring Alia Larue Pavsland who will wed Luther Bollard of Novice Texas. Guests arrived to punch led by Francis Platt and James Mjeniand. The program featured piano solo Alice Clement reading by Madaline Ringe violin solo Minta Moffatt and a toast to the bride. A pink cake drawing hour followed with tokens of affection presented to the bride and her attendants.
