Fire broke out about one o clock Saturday morning destroying the residence of Pete Shurley. Occupants including Grandpa G. Thing, Mr Bhurley’s father, and Ollie Wallum escaped by jumping from a ground floor window. The home near Norse, two miles west, belonged to Andrew Daing of Port Worth and was insured.
