Clyde Seljos will serve another year as president of the Central Texas Fair Association. Re-elected were Homer McDougal as vice president Jim Burch as treasurer and Mrs T N Foster as secretary-reporter Carl Simpson of Valley Mills will head the Livestock Division with two assistants Milton Dahl Jr and Fred Ludwig Advisory Committee remains the same and pending acceptances apply to absentees from the past year The 1977 goals focus on utilizing existing knowledge while premiums and prizes will be funded through catalogue ads The June 11 Quarter Horse Show is planned at the fair grounds Grand Champion trophies will be supplied by Clifton Feed & Service Center The next meeting is Monday March 14 in Clifton City Hall with numerous members in attendance

Clifton Independent School District invites Weatherford College choir and stagehand to a day long musical clinic on February 28. Mrs Myrna Fields directs the CISD music program and Duane Durrett will serve as stagehand clinician. The event includes Clifton High School and Junior High choirs, Crawfills Gap and Meridian high schools, with a 7:30 pm concert featuring a combined choir and stagehand performance.

A 1969 stallion wagon driven by Leveda B Witford of Meridian lost braking power in downtown Clifton and struck Winns at 142 North Ave D. Two plate glass windows and two bicycles were damaged. no injuries reported. Other incidents noted include minor accidents and a rifle theft. Oscar L Meador Jr. received a two year DWI sentence in Gatesville.

Bosque County Vets to Share in $403 Million GI Insurance Dividends
Washington reports 230 Bosque County veterans will divide about $22 000 from a $403 million national payout. The funds come from dividends on life insurance policies held by World War I II and Korean veterans who kept policies in force. Vietnam vets receive non dividend benefits. The national total exceeds last year by about 27 million dollars.

Adams Bros Construction Co of Athens submitted the low bid of $389,988.16 to build an earthen dam on Site 1 of Hog Creek in Bosque and Coryell Counties. Predator control meeting set for Friday in Meridian
A county land owners meeting is planned for 1 p.m. Friday in the Meridian district courtroom to discuss predator control. Bosque County has qualified for association trouble shooters and experimental helicopter hunting with funds appropriated.
