Farmers Get Liberal Tax Reporting Method for Farm Income

Beginning in 1966 self employed farmers may use a more liberal reporting method for farm income. For gross farm self employment up to 2400 dollars net earnings can be actual net or two thirds of gross. If gross over 2400 and net under 1600 either actual net or 1600 may be reported. If gross over 2400 and net 1600 or more actual net must be used. This allows social security credits even for low incomes.
