Dawson Attends Sister-In-Law Rites in Hico
Earl M. Dawson of Clifton attended funeral services for his sister-in-law Mrs. BE. E. Dawson aged 81 in Hico on Friday December 18. Mrs. Dawson died the previous Wednesday in a Hico nursing home. She leaves two sons and three daughters.

Powers wins Press Club scholarship at NTSU
Johnny Powers of Valley Mills was among eight journalism students at North Texas State University awarded scholarships by the Press Club of Dallas Foundation. The grants cover tuition fees and books for one or two semesters. Powers is a junior at NTSU and a member of Sigma Delta Chi and Lambda Chi Alpha.

Sunday guests at the Kalscheur residence included Mr. and Mrs. Jack Rader and son Brit from Columbia Missouri along with Mr. and Mrs. Elbert Duncan and Mr. and Mrs. J B Westerfield of McGregor. Rader is a noted teaching and drama figure at the University of Missouri and starred in Streetcar Named Desire. Mrs. Rader has notably performed lead roles in Fort Worth and Los Angeles and is related to Mrs. Kalscheur as a cousin.

Hills Visit in Colorado Over Christmas Holidays
Mrs. H. R. Hill and granddaughter Marsha Hill traveled from Love Field Dallas to Denver to visit son H. R. Hill in Wheatridge. Jack R. Hill and family joined by train to Wheat Ridge for the holidays and plan to return to Fort Worth by train next Monday then onto Clifton. Mrs. H. R. Hill will stay in Colorado until late January or early February.
