Mrs Joe Moffatt nee Amelia Kilgore died December 17 after seven years of paralysis and a two week illness. Survived by husband Joe Moffatt, six children, five grandchildren and one sister, she joined Brethren church in 1890 and lived in Clifton twenty years. Funeral held December 18 at Clifton Methodist Church with Rev. E N Beannett and Rev. T G Story officiating. interment in Clifton Cemetery.
Neighbors and friends gathered at Mire Bryn Erlingson’s home on Friday evening December 12 to surprise Mr P J Bryn on his birthday. The group included Mire Rogstad and several others, sharing cake, coffee, and festive congratulations with many well wishers from the community.
Meridian court records show marriage banns for several residents including Miss Aroberle Jordan, Miss Alles Casper, and Mr Obie Dunlap. The court instructed to call for sealed bids for road maintenance at January term. Jail and pauper roll adjustments noted, with transfers from General County Fund to Jury Fund. The St Olaf Lutheran Choir of sixty mixed voices from Minnesota North Dakota and other agencies will perform a capella at the college auditorium. The program features Bach Schumann and church minsters works. Critics praise their purity of voice and precise technique, urging audiences to hear them.
Obituary notice from Temple Oklahoma reports the death of Alton Isaac Solberg born July 20 191F and died December 12 1990. Funeral services were held December 1 at Trinity Lutheran Church with Rev P E Thorson leading prayers. Interment followed at Norse Lutheran Cemetery with pallbearers Kyhe Alexander Byron Mronstad Alton Jenson Ralph Lane Laie Burley Johnny Solberg and honorary pallbearers from the 1980 High School Class and the Old MM Mand.

The J O Y Bridge Club celebrated the Christmas season with a festive party hosted by Chien Bildegarde Marlee. Seven players joined in the tournament with prizes announced for categories such as first night slam, take trick with the dew of Stumps, high score, and high cut, awarded to Mrs Hector Willy, Mrs Le Tale vide, Mrs Emmett Sehow, Mrs Altinot MTB, J. L. Stanite, and others.
