Monday afternoon 3 to 5 oclock guests gathered at Mrs. Anton Pedersons home for an attractive Christmas shower in honor of Miss Alice Odegaard bride elect of Mr. Arnold Clayton Rockway. The room featured a Christmas tree and chrysanthemums while guests registered in a hand painted guest book by Florene Stanhiser. A program included readings by Doranne Poulson Marcel Moore and Maxine Hoff, with Hannah Hoff singing and Louis Hulme as Santa Claus delivering gifts from a tree laden with parcels. The bride expressed thanks and guests wished her happiness.

Alma Thompson Born Near Clifton In 1917
Alma Josephine Thompson died December 14 at 14 years 10 months 26 days. Born January 12, 1917, she lived at home in Clifton with her family except six months at a sanitarium. She was baptized March 18 and remained a faithful Sunday School member. Her funeral at Norse Lutheran Church featured Rev P E Thorson and solo by Hannah Hoff. Her reading of the New Testament totals three times.
