Creep Feeding Calves Gaining in Popularity
Creep feeding calves while nursing proves popular among Bosque County cattlemen with real gains and low costs. Tom Parks of Clifton notes fifteen dollars extra value per calf, planning three more creeps this winter. Calves gain 100 to 150 pounds in Mason and 300 calves in Howard County show strong results. Rations are oats corn and cottonseed cake with some roughage.
