Clifton defeated Waco Ranger 14 to 12 in a hard fought state quarterfinal clash. Gar land Braune led a 27 yard keeper to the Ranger 33 and Wayne Prescher added a 27 yard run setting up Braune’s touchdown. Prescher added the extra point as Clifton built a 7 0 lead. The Bulldogs fought back with a TD and failed two point try but Clifton answered with a late drive culminating in Prescher’s one yard score and another PAT to seal the win.

200 Voice Choir to Sing Christmas Music Here
Two hundred voices will join in singing traditional carols and hymns of Christmas at 8 pm Sunday, December 15, at Bettis Auditorium in Clifton. The choir includes boys and girls from grades 4 through 8 and the high school chorus. A Biblical narrative will be sung by a 12 voice girls choir. Minor Fire Damages Westley Home in West County
