Jim Jones of Clifton reports 54 head sold with an average of 336 dollars. Bulls averaged 382 dollars females 315. Top bull MF McGuthrie Leader brought 670, top female Bonnie Alice 490, sale aided by auctioneer Johnny Watkins. Champion Mill Hills Talisman sold for 500 to Mrs Reed. Show judge was A H Caraway of De Leon. Guest speaker C G Scruggs of Progressive Farmer spoke at the banquet.

Christmas Supper Set by Selmer Erickson Post
The Selmer Erickson Post No. 322 of the American Legion and Auxiliary in Clifton will host a Christmas supper at 7:00 P.M. Friday December 9 at the City Park clubhouse. Attendees should bring a covered dish. turkey and ham are provided. Each person should bring a gift for men or women, and families should bring gifts for their children to be exchanged that evening.

One Man Killed Here Nine Automobile Accidents Reported
Nine vehicle wrecks occurred in Bosque County from Friday through Tuesday. Jerry Lynn Martin, 19, of Morgan, died after a 11:15 P M Sunday crash on Farm To Market Road 219 east of Clifton. Jerry Thomas Fenn, 20, of Route 1 Bloom, was seriously injured and later listed in satisfactory condition. Other occupants included Alton Lynn Voiles, 19, treated and released. Several other collisions near Clifton, Morgan, and Meridian injured and damaged vehicles with no other deaths reported. Funeral services for Martin were held Tuesday at Moore's Chapel, Fort Worth.

Cotton Farmers to Receive Two Ballots for Upland Cotton
Cotton producers will get two ballots during December 5 to 9 to vote by mail. One ballot covers marketing quotas for the 1967 upland cotton crop and the other decides whether a research and promotion order should be issued. The two ballots are separate but mailed at the same time. Eligible voters include those who shared in the 1966 upland cotton crop or its proceeds.
