New Homes Dedicated At Turnersville Dinner
Congressman Poage lauds Turnersville residents for securing five FHA loan financed homes in Coryell County. About 200 attended the dedication dinner with guests from Clifton and nearby towns. The Turnersville Community Center built three 3 bedroom and two 2 bedroom houses on FM 182, now rented. The event featured Fort Hood Army Band, FHA remarks, and a review of local progress. Turnersville placed second in the Texas Rural Community Improvement contest.

Clifton Housing Authority Receives First HUD Loan Check
The Clifton Housing Authority won its first government loan of 1920 dollars after 18 months of work by the Authority city council staff and advisory committee. HUD approved 32 units split evenly between elderly and low income families. Paperwork and site approvals remain before construction begins and developers can plan the 32 dwellings.
