Mrs A Hamilton 73 of Clifton died after a heart attack July 31 and died August 11 at Kaufman hospital. She was a Clifton native, member of Four Mile Lutheran Church, and wife of Anss Hamilton of Wille Point. Survivors include son Leon, daughter Mrs Shiteits, and several siblings. Interment in Four Mile Cemetery near Prairieville.

Junior Sheep and Goat Field Day Held in Cranfills Gap
On Friday August 13 the Junior Sheep and Goat Field Day was held at City Park Cranfills Gap with 70 registrants. Master of ceremonies Bob Viertel opened the affair at 9 00 am and introduced speakers from the State Bureau and local 4 H members. Morning sessions covered rules selecting market lambs breeding sheep and preliminaries. Afternoon talks addressed financing record keeping fitting and showing lambs and sheep and Angora goats for Texas A&M. Copies were distributed to attendees.

Forty one Valley Mills high school students from several counties traveled by chartered bus to the 1965 Citizenship Seminar at Sam Houston State Teachers College Huntsville. Sponsored by County and State Farm Bureaus the group ate lunch at Cary Corner Cafe before departing with accompanying boys. The event, held August 10 to 14, drew over 300 participants to promote understanding of the American system and life focusing on economic moral and social aspects.
