Mosque County resumes its Third War Loan campaign opening September 9 under the same county and community committeemen who led the County to success in April. Dr Garland Davie of Meridian is reappointed county war bond chairman as the county oversubscribed about 40 percent while the state average ran 44 percent. Boeune’s quota for the next drive is not yet set but will be larger. banks will not participate. Community chairmen remain largely the same with Meridian and Koppert adding changes. County secretary and publicity chair Moran Durisp is reappointed. an all-hands meeting will outline plans for the drive.

Cpl Ralph Hampe Completes Aircraft Factory Training

Cpl Ralph Hampe earned his diploma from the Douglas Aircraft Factory in Lang Beach California on August 10 and has been transferred to Ravens Utah for further schooling. He previously graduated as an airplane mechanic from Gulfport Field Mississippi after enlisting in September 1942 at Blackland Army Flying School Waco Texas. He has since moved through Mississippi for additional studies to support Army aviation work and hopes for a furlough to visit family back home.

Clifton Marine With Commandos In Norway Raid
