Survived by his wife, children Alvina, Ottilie, Eli, Annie, Christian, William, Aired, nineteen grandchildren, and brothers Charles, Lewis, Rudolph, and others.
Staff Sergeant Noy B Knudson a Crunsille Gap Texas native and Air Medal recipient serves at Lighthaaf Composite Station England as an aerial gunnery instructor. Enlisted 1942 trained at Wendover Las Vegas served 22 months in European Theater.
Lieutenant Willem Vickrey, 38, co pilot of a Liberator bomber with the 7th Air Force, writes that he is well while kept very busy. A Mosheim High School graduate of 1909, he attended North Texas Agricultural College and earned extensive flying hours before entering the Army Air Corps on April 20, 1948. He has been stationed at Randolph Field briefly and has served in Oklahoma, California, and Arizona. On January 7, 1944, he was commissioned at Marfa Army Air Field and later reported to March Field, California for further orders.
