A mass meeting at City Hall Tuesday night discussed plans to build a Clifton College dormitory. Nearly all attendees offered support and moral backing. a second meeting by Clifton business leaders at Farmers State Bank followed with renewed interest and new financing ideas.
Twelfth Air Force pilot Captain Charles C. Williams, 24, of Clifton Texas, flies a P 47 Thunderbolt in missions targeting enemy communications, transport and gun positions to aid Allied ground troops in the Mediterranean. Williams attended Meridia High School and the University of Texas, and belongs to Beta Alpha Pha fraternity. He previously worked for Texan Auto Go and Wilson Pathe tag Co. He wears the Ale chain and Asiatic Pacific, and American De ante ribbome.
