Proposal to Close Bosque County Road Deferred
Bosque County Commissioners will again consider abandoning 1,290 feet of county road in Precinct 2 at the Monday morning September 10 meeting at the County Courthouse in Meridian. The subject was tabled after illness of Claude Burns of Koppers. Residents split over the proposal with 163 opposing and 12 supporting. Baugh said the road dust hurts his poultry business. opponents argued closing it would create hazards for state highway traffic and school buses. County revenue sharing funds of 86,662 are anticipated for 1973-74.
