Clifton Chamber of Commerce hosts a luncheon on Wednesday August 12 at the American Legion with guest speaker Pat Rabe of Liberty National Life Insurance. Farm Credit Bank earnings rise on midyear results
Farm Credit Bank of Texas reported second quarter net income of 27.3 million, up 22.9 percent from a year earlier, and six months net income of 43.9 million, up 16 percent. The Austin based district serves Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi, New Mexico, and Texas, with 19 affiliated cooperatives. Total district net income for six months ended June 30 was 958 million, down 33.9 percent from 2008. Gross loan volume at June 30, 2009 stood at 16.49 billion.
