Commissioners Receive Report From Citizens Jail Committee
In Bosque County during a regular Commissioners Court session on Monday August 10 Dewey Ratif presented a report from the Citizens Jail Committee noting 20 private citizens were appointed and held six meetings May 26 to August 4 with officials and county staff Presentations came from 15 people representing seven organizations including architects and contractors The committee made three formal recommendations with one broad agreement that the delivery method should be Construction Management at Risk A professional services contract with an architecture firm for a Phase I design study would develop a program and budget and obtain initial approval of Texas Jail Standards A project team would oversee completion and include four citizen representatives and ongoing citizen involvement while considering certificates of obligation land purchase and other steps to speed the process See COURT Page 2.
