Marshall Advocates Build Now Buy Now Policy In Southwest
Vice President Thomas Riley Marshall told Dallas reporters that the nation should push industrial activity, build with cheap materials, and accept a future of higher profits for labor. He warned against reverting to prewar prices and praised ongoing oil development in Texas while commenting on education, governance, and his dislike of government ownership. He and Mrs. Marshall planned public speaking in Commerce, Waco, and Palestine, concluding with their return to Washington.
