Clifton mourns Joe B Potter age 79 after a stroke on April 9 and death April 12 at the local hospital. He lived in or near Clifton since 1911 and leaves a wife, three sons, two daughters, 22 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren with ties to Waco Paris and Cape Charles. Funeral services were held April 13 at First Baptist Church Clifton with interment at Clifton Memorial Park.

Acting County School Superintendent Andy T. Nutt released figures for the 1964-65 school year. Clifton’s white students total 659 with 693 scholastics overall in the county, and other schools report counts by race and grade across Mosheim Iredell Hoppers Meridian Morgan Valley Mills Walnut Springs Crawfills Gap. Total Bosque County expected scholastics are 1 033 white boys and 960 white girls plus 68 colored boys and 56 colored girls.

Mrs Don Gloff and son Greg of Dallas visited Clifton Friday night and Dr Gloff joined them Sunday. they returned to Dallas Monday. Mrs L E Tennison fell Tuesday morning breaking the large bone in her right arm while planning to help at the Lions Club luncheon.
