Ree JA Kidd of Pecos, former Baptist pastor, spoke as honored guest at Tuesday’s Towcheon. Lin Carry Duncan led entertainment with “The Westgaard up” performances. Clifton Lions attended the Grou meeting in Waco, and Lions International designates next work as Contact Week with a formal program and speaker. Committees work to ensure success and high attendance.
Cubs fall to Meridian 4 0 on Friday then win at Morgan 12 to 4 Saturday. West Jeff and White lead with extra base hits and White hits five times in the series. Walling, Geigle, and Wallines also contribute multiple safeties as Cubs reach over .467 season average and threaten county playoff.
Mrs JA White entertained the Bridge Club with an Easter party at Mr E Shaw's home decorated in blue bonnets and white iris. Prizes and refreshments followed the game with out of town guests Mesdames Surston and Grimes of Meridian.

Clifton junior baseball crushed Cranfilly Gap Saturday 14 to 2 as Alexander was hit by a pitch, Merrie delivered a perfect bunt to drive in a run, and Larson, Robinson, White and Harrie homered. Both teams showed solid fielding and hitting throughout the game.
Abe Smith and Red Oliver, two Clifton men, exchanged gunfire after a dispute over a house. Oliver fired a shotgun wounding Smith in face, neck, and shoulder. Smith returned fire with a Winchester but did not hit Oliver. Oliver is jailed in Meridian on charges of manslaughter or murder. Smith recovers under Dr. D A Carpenter care.
The Dowse was called to order at 11 16 a m on April 14 1991 with most members present except two A new member Pearl Minaslarane joined The 411 Club of Rogue County hosted a rally in Meridian on April 1 from 1 to 5 pm featuring a slide show Just Trap Ine The rally was enjoyed and members reported enthusiasm for their projects.
