32 Countians Attend Cancer Society Meet
The Bosque County Unit of the American Cancer Society met March 27 in the Presbyterian Church Fellowship Hall in Clifton with 32 present from eleven communities. Attendees included Mrs Leonard Smith, Louis E. Robinson, Dr. Charles C. Burns, Sam Logan, Joe White, Rev. Marvin Ottmers, and Rev. Walter Allen among others. Sam Logan photographed the crusade chairmen and guests before the meeting. Edwin Conrad was absent and Joe White presided. Minutes were read by Secretary Mrs. Jake.

Clifton Housing Authority finally received an acceptable bid after three years of efforts. Belco Construction, Inc. of Temple submitted the low bid for the general construction at $382,000, covering 16 regular and 16 elderly low rent units authorized since 1970.
