Interest grows as Crawfills Gap hosts the Quarter Horse and Open Juvenile Show this Saturday April 2 led by Harold Gilbert. Halter judging starts 1:00 PM with Pine Johnson judging. Events include year classes for stallions mares geldings and junior senior reining bar rel and western riding. A street parade at 6:00 PM precedes the Juvenile Show starting 7:00 PM with numerous youth and adult events. The Bosque Museum will open Sundays from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. starting April 3 and continuing through summer and fall. Weekday visits are by special appointment for groups and guests. Death of Robert I Terrell Near Clifton
Robert Ingersol Terrell died March 27 near Clifton at age 60. He lived on Route 3 Valley Mills and previously battled a heart attack in January, returning home before a second fatal attack. Funeral services were held March 29 at Clifton Funeral Home Chapel with interment in Terrell Cemetery. He left a wife Beulah Williams Terrell and 11 children, plus siblings Neill Terrell and Zada Oswald, and 11 grandchildren.

Poultry prices ranged from 20 to 26 cents per dozen with hens at 6 cents over 4 percent pounds. Grain listed milling wheat 1.90 per bushel and No 2 yellow corn 1.20. Cattle sales at Clifton Wednesday saw over 500 head with steers and yearlings 24 to 26.50, cows 16 to 19, bulls 19 to 20.50, stocker calves 24 to 31, cows and calves 150 to 235. Hog top 16.50 and lamb top 20.50.
