Picnic at Mineral Springs by Young Party

A group of young people held a picnic at Mineral Springs on Friday evening. The gathering enjoyed a delightful time with a served picnic supper and Victrola music provided by Sheeder, adding greatly to the pleasure of the occasion.

Funeral of Mrs Melees in Winburne

Mrs. Melees wife of W J McLees druggist of Winburne died suddenly at her home in her 64th year. Survived by husband three sons Warren Bertram Howard and her mother Mrs Ellen Banes. Body taken to Lock Haven then Trinity M E church for 2 PM funeral services by Rev Dr A Lawrence Miller burial in Highland cemetery. The family had lived in Lock Haven before nine years ago moving to Winburne where Mr Melees runs a drug store.

Marriage at Lock Haven Quiet ceremony unites two locals

George Jacobs of Clearfield eloped to Lock Haven on Saturday and married Miss Marie Walker of Mill Hall at eight in the evening. Only the bride's parents and sister attended the ceremony.

Mrs Carman a Nervous Wreck

Freeport New Jersey July 28 Mrs Florence Conklin Carman accused of murder of Mrs Louise Bailey returned home yesterday from Raven Rock suffering a nervous breakdown. She was so weak she needed assistance from her husband who accompanied her. Doctor Carman said his wife was in a nervous wreck following indictment charging manslaughter in the first degree.
