Thousands in Bradford County paused work to greet Gifford Pinchot and Washington party candidates during a 100 mile swing from Canton to Towanda. Copper Prospects and 1913 Output in Pennsylvania Mines

H D McCaskey of the United States Geological Survey notes no recent production of gold silver lead or zinc from Pennsylvania mines. Copper has been refined yielding small precious metal quantities. Adams and Franklin counties show copper prospects while most output comes from Cornwall iron mine magnetic ores in Lebanon county. Pennsylvania copper in 1913 totaled 503,732 pounds valued at 78,088 dollars, up from 473,060 pounds valued at 78,055 dollars in 1912.

Camp Meeting at Susquehanna Park July 24 to August 2

Arrangements are under way for the annual Christian and Missionary Alliance camp meeting at Susquehanna Park one mile below Mahaffey. The event runs from Friday July 24th to Sunday August 2nd with many Alliance workers expected to attend. Rev. W. McGarvey of Irvona and Rev. J V Krall of this place head the arrangements.

Mrs. R. F. Smith Dies at Home of Peritonitis

Mrs. R F Smith died at her West Fourth Street home at eight last evening from peritonitis. She leaves her husband and six children, her parents Mr and Mrs Hipps of Lumber City, brothers William and Grover Hipps of Cuarwenaville, sister Miss Ethel Hipps, a nurse at Clearfield Hospital, and Miss Martha Hipps.
