Eleanor Barchus returned home after a tonsillectomy at grandparents C E Barchus Gravity. Beryle Fulton of Milwaukee left after a week with Truman Hidlay and relatives. Pearl Lee Haya will spend the summer in Kansas City with the Stamper family.

Fine Day Amid Fog At Local Memorial Exercises

Tuesday's foggy but fine weather drew a smaller crowd to the public exercises. J R Crew led the program with a cenotaph flag raising and pledge, followed by songs, invocations, and messages. The cemetery was well kept and many former residents returned to greet the commemorations.

Mrs. Frank Porter arrived Saturday evening from Ames following a visit with the Darlington families. Friday evening she attended High School Commencement where her nephew Edward Darlington graduated with a class of 158 students. Dressed in cap and gown, the new auditorium was filled to overflowing with relatives and friends.

Creston High Confers National Honor Society Honor

Honorable Mention Patricia Ann Cooper, daughter of Esther Davey Cooper of Creston, graduates with the Class of 1944 and is among six seniors chosen from one hundred to be initiated into the National Honor Society during final school activities.
