Glen B. Watterson announces Bible School at 10:00 A M and Morning Worship at 11:00 A M. Evening Union Worship is at Christian Church at 8:30 with a note on the change of hour.
Church bulletin records a morning Bible School led by Pastor C F Hoffmar and an evening union service at 8 30 noting a one hour shift in the evening schedule and change from previous times at the Christian Ozures.
The Methodist Church announces Rev C M Rows preaching next Sunday at 10 and 11 am with Sunday School at 10.00. Union Services follow at 8 30 pm at Christmas Church. Annual Conference scheduled June 7 11. Our financial year ends this week.
Mr and Mrs C E Barchus Mrs Harold Nelson and daughter Karen visited in the Harold Barchus home Sunday.
Ten members of the Modern Literary Club visited Mrs Mary Henderson on a May Tuesday for a picnic. Misses Daisy and Peggy Huntsman joined as guests. Grat Shepherd led the business session, approving a 500 donation to the Library and two boxes for Russian Relief. Mrs Myrtie Kimberly led a lesson on Britain Eats to Win. weather interrupted the finish.
The Sew and Se Club met May lth with Nellie Harvey among eleven members and two visitors. New officers elected in April include Gertie Mahan president Nellie Harvey vice president Rhoda Johnson secretary and treasurer. They assumed duties at the May meeting and calendars for the coming year were handed out. Harriett Barchus named news reporter and Ben Wackernagle assigned to investigate Red.
After the business meeting, attendees finished piecing blocks for the Red Cross comforter to be tied at the next session. Agnes Lepley and Althea La'son received birthday gifts. Refreshments were served by the hostess as Edith Gardener was announced for the next meeting.
