Protect Grass Waterways in Fall Cultivation
A farm advisory urges protecting grass waterways during fall plowing. Keep plows high and disks straight across waterways to avoid sod damage. Plow at right angles to the waterway and direct runoff into the waterway, not along its sides. Do not use waterways as roads year round.
