Clare County Board of Supervisors meets at Harrison Court House on August 15 1961 with 16 members present. They adopt a condolence resolution for John R Hall Sr and vote to send mass cards and flowers. A dam reconstruction proposal for Grant Township Clare is approved under Michigan law.
Michigan shows a drop in active fishing and hunting licenses from 1955 to 1960, with anglers down to 1,143,098 and hunters to 1,145,149. National trends show U S sportsmen growing faster than population, with 50 million Americans fishing or hunting in 1960 and spending near 4 billion dollars.
