Exercise for Health Maintains Body But Overdoing Harms

The article explains that regular activity boosts bodily tissue replacement and overall health, while excessive exercise can cause more tissue damage than the body can replace. It advises sedentary workers to schedule daily workouts, to avoid meals within three hours of exercise and wait one hour after meals. It covers outdoor versus indoor exercise, walking guidelines, and cautions on weather, clothing, and post-exercise cooling. It also discusses horseback riding, swimming, and common sports like golf, tennis, and handball, noting age considerations and the importance of enjoying health benefits rather than competition. It promotes never overdoing exercise and using sport for health rather than victory.
