Farwell Labor Day Homecoming 30th Anniversary Monday

On Wednesday and Friday nights last week Pall Maree smear market on west 4th street was entered and robbed for the eighth time. Entry was by tearing off a heavy screen and breaking the west side window. Warmers Independent Produce was entered from a west side window about ten feet high via a ladder. Small change was taken from cash registers at both spots but no stock disappeared. State Police fingerprint expert assisted Friday night with prints secured.

Five year old Yvonna Pierson died after a boiling water accident in Summit Township Clare County. She fell into a canner with boiling water while helping her mother break a jar. She received first aid from Dr Harl Wilson and blood transfusions before passing away Saturday morning. She leaves the parents and seven siblings. Funeral held Monday in Summitville township cemetery with Pastor David Bailey officiating. Local residents extend deepest sympathy.
