Clare County Lake Association Formed in Clare
Michigan's first county wide lake property owners group organized Saturday at Clare City Hall following August 14 talks among eight associations. Officers include Joseph Kiebel Jr. as president and two secretaries treasurers. members urged each lake group to fund a $50 start and name two county council reps.

The 10th annual Michigan Lakes and Streams Association meeting will take place Saturday at the Doherty Motor Hotel in Clare from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. A premeeting coffee hour is set for 9 a.m. A board session follows the regular meeting. Speakers cover aquatic weed control, sewage disposal systems for lake areas, and a discussion on incorporation under the Summer Resort Act of 1929. Representing firms include Williams and Works of Grand Rapids and Gore Engineers of Kalamazoo. Reservations go to Henry Westerville, Kalamazoo. Dinner should be reserved a week ahead.
