City plans second new water well in Clare
At Monday night’s Clare commission meeting the city discussed locating a second water well on the east side to relieve low water pressure. City Manager Willard Wedge will survey east side sites and seek state approval, as rusted water persists from corroded mains despite Well Number Three operations. The rust coat in mains may leave debris in sinks and tubs. officials plan flushing after the heavy lawn season to improve clarity, though some rust remains. Well Number Two still supplies some rusty water, and a recent main break under the railroad forced full reliance on Well Two last Friday.
