Third annual Halloween teen dance set at VFW hall

The Clare Veterans of Foreign Wars hosts the third annual Halloween dance for teens on Friday Oct 28 from 8 p.m. to midnight. Teens under 18 may attend for a $1 donation benefiting muscular dystrophy as part of a statewide Jaycee project with music by WRNN. Last year about 450 youths participated.

Nuclear medicine project rejected at Clare Osteopathic Hospital

The State Health Director denied Clare Osteopathic Hospital approval for a Nuclear Medicine apartment due to lack of demonstrated need. Daily nuclear medicine procedures average 1.7, and a nearby private clinic plans similar equipment, risking duplication. The Division of Health Facility Planning and Construction issued the denial, with a 30 day appeal window.
