Clare School Board Adopts Budget 10.7 Percent Rise
The Clare Public Schools set a budget of 1 242 658 for the coming year up from 1 122 395 in 1968 69. Superintendent Richard L Snyder cited higher salaries and rising costs for supplies and equipment plus planning for a new primary school and remodeling plans as reasons for the increase. The budget was approved at the October 13 meeting after a budget hearing. The board also approved selling the Loomis School and site with sealed bids due by November 10 and a quick claim deed to the winning bidder.
