Fatal Shooting Accident Near Here Saturday
A tragic incident at the Sheridan township farm home of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Rhodes left Alva Lawrence Eichhorn dead. Dorothy Rhodes, age ten, accidentally discharged a .22 rifle while playing with other children. Eichhorn, visiting from Farwell, died at Clare Hospital about three hours later. An inquest was deemed unnecessary. Eichhorn was born August 15, 1910, in Campbellsburg Indiana, and moved to Michigan in childhood. Continued on Page Five.
