Paving US-10 planned Clare to Midland in 1931
Grovers Dillman, state highway Commissioner, says the department plans to pave US-10 from Clare to Midland in 1931. Grading will be finished next year with a possible new course over most of the route to remove bad curves and railroad crossings at North Bradley and Coleman. The department also approved an emergency measure for about twelve miles of pavement on US-20 from Mt. Pleasant east to the oil fields, signaling a relocation likely due to oil traffic. Fifteen miles of concrete will join with extensive southward paving next season.
