Unknown World War I Soldier Buried at Arlington

President Warren G Harding issues a proclamation marking November 11 1921 as a day of silent prayer for unidentified American World War I dead to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery. The flag is to fly at half staff on all federal properties and embassies worldwide from sunrise to sunset.

Frizzell Family Notified of Son’s WWI Death

Telegram from Tasaday informs Mr and Mrs J H Frizzell of Jackson that Private James B Frizzell was killed in action in France on October 8 1918. Remains arrived at Ho Dokken New Jersey and will be shipped to Farwell for burial soon. Further details to be announced in the Sentinel.

Auditorium Ticket Rules and Refund Reflect Seasonal Offer

The notice explains refunds and refunds share for guided seating at performances. It states a thirty cent refund from a one dollar fifty cent fee for unsatisfactory performances and outlines a 40 percent reduction for five single admissions. School pupils receive a special low rate to attract youth, with season tickets non interchangeable and required to be shown by the original purchaser. Until the academy auditorium is finished, numbers will be issued at the Methodist church.

Richard N. Anderson Dies at Marion

Richard N. Anderson died Monday after years of poor health. Born August 29, 1855 in Chicago, he was 66 at death on October 17, 1921. He married Misa Mary Sutton July 3, 1883, leaving five children and a devoted wife. Funeral held at the farm residence with Rev. Barker and Rev. Havens officiating.
