Memorial Day events are set in Clare for May 30. Parade from the Honor Roll at city park to the cemetery will feature the Clare High School Band with Tim Cotter as parade marshal. Dr. Eugene Gillaspy will speak. invocations by Rev. Winegar and Rev. Knickerbocker. services begin at 11 a.m. at the cemetery with additional observances at Rosebush and surrounding cemeteries.

The Clare High golf team under Gary Rayburn won the school’s first conference crown since joining the US-10 League. Michigan In Motion premieres in Clare as part of a state history trilogy
Consumers Power Company unveiled Michigan In Motion at the Town & Country Restaurant in Clare on May 24 1967. The half hour film completes a trilogy begun in 1964 with When Michigan Was Young and 1965s Michigan I A. The series uses iconographic animation to bring Michigan history to life from the Ice Age through World War II and toward the year 2000. More than 100 school systems already use the first two films and the new installment is available on loan to schools and other groups in Central Division.

3 Day Outing For Jr Scouts At Alma Cabin
Mr and Mrs Keith Renmark accompanied 23 girls from her Junior Girl Scout troop to Alma Girl Scout Cabin for May 19 20 and 21. The girls enjoyed hiking games dancing cooking scavenger hunt trail blazing and many other activities. Friday night the girls held a Scout's Own around a bonfire followed by ice cream and cake.
