Carlton Jack Emery born November 22 1903 Caro Michigan died near Clare April 29 1930 at age 26 marrying Myrtle Rodabaugh March 9 1930. He fell ill en route to visit grandfather and mother in law and died after eleven days of sickness. Survived by wife three sisters two brothers and many relatives. Funeral at Caro M P Church Friday at 2 00 pm with Rev R R Teravilliger officiating.

Undersized brook trout lead to fines for Lansing men
Lansing residents J. G. Young and Spirous Kahri were accused of catching undersized brook trout on a Clare County stream. Conservation Officer Eugene Pettit found eleven undersized fish hidden in rolled socks inside their hip boots. Each man received a $19.50 fine.

Mayor R I Hether's appointment of Daniel Crouse to succeed himself as night policeman for the ensuing year was confirmed by the city council at their meeting Monday evening. Bills were allowed as recommended by the finance committee but no other business of importance was transacted. The proposed air field was discussed but no definite action was taken. The matter was urged for prompt citizen and organizational cooperation to make the improvement possible.

Motorist Strikes Bridge Girder North of City
Miss Thelma Cunningham 22 of Cadillac and Elmer Stienburg 28 of Moddersville were cut about the face and head when the car they rode struck the Tobacco River bridge north of the city. John Spitsbergen 42 of Moddersville and Anna Steinburg were uninjured passengers. The crash occurred as Spitsbergen attempted to pass another car at high speed and braked, sending the car against the east girder and wrecking the vehicle.

Last Rites Held for Willis Green at County Seat
Willis Green of Harrison received funeral services at his residence on Wednesday afternoon conducted by Rev. H B Johnson. Interment followed in Harrison Cemetery. Green long resided in the county capital and once ran a jewelry business. He served as caretaker at Wilson State Park at Budd Lake for the past three years and had been in poor health for eighteen months. A life sketch will appear in next week’s Sentinel.
