Pollution of Public Waters Proves Costly
M Myers of Myers and Son hatchery near Clare pleaded guilty to polluting public waters by dumping infertile eggs and dead chicks into Clear Creek two miles north of Clare. He was fined fifty dollars and costs and ordered to remove the refuse. Deputy Game Warden Eugene Pettit and conservation representative Homer Murphy investigated. Myers claimed dumping occurred at Merrill stream as sewer outlet and was unaware Clear Creek was a trout stream.
