Coleman High School canceled Splendor In The Grass after a parental-permission dispute. Principal Thomas Orr said controversy over home issues led five parents to withhold consent slips. The Coleman Board of Education left the final call to the administration, which then scrapped the May performances and will offer a substitute production.
