For cattle on feed under a roof the minimum is three square feet per 100 pounds of live weight, with examples 12 square feet for 400 pounds and 30 square feet for 1 000 pounds. Open housing remains at two and three square feet respectively. Bedding should be frequent and manure scraped weekly.
