L. E. McCulloch Dies After Long Local Service
Leonard Eyrard McCulloch longtime Rosebush resident and first Ann Arbor Railroad agent at Rosebush died at his East Sixth Street home after a heart illness. Born December 26 1863 in Grand Rapids Michigan he worked in a Ludington drug store and trained as a telegraph operator before serving forty five years as Rosebush agent handling freight express Western Union and ticket sales. He died February 27 1947 in Clare Michigan at age eighty three years two months and one day. (Continued on Page Four).

Wayne C. Price, 28, of Hamilton township, admitted stealing an automobile from the Clare Consumers Power Co office area. He waived examination and was bound over on $500 bond to circuit court, then moved to county jail to await May term. He faced a prior similar charge in Gladwin county, pleaded guilty there, and remained in custody.

Robert H. Jackson, longtime resident of the Clare area, died at his home south of Clare last Friday after a period of illness. He was born March 26, 1874 in West Luther Ontario Canada and aged 72 years and 11 months. He married Alice Allison January 2 1906 in Canada. He leaves wife Alice eight daughters Mrs Bertha Wooley Mrs Myrtle Reals Mrs Eva Day Mrs Mildred Cooper Mrs Marjorie Schoonover Mrs Ethel Plant and one son.
