Social Security Raises 6.4 Percent for Most Beneficiaries

Mt. Pleasant district manager Donald L. Hire says July checks will include a 6.4 percent cost-of-living increase for most Social Security recipients. The adjustment, added to law in 1972, will be automatic with no action required from beneficiaries in Clare County.
