Thirty aspiring seniors are due to receive diplomas on June 17 at Clare High School. A Baccalaureate address will be delivered Sunday at 7 30 p m by Rev H T Smith in the high school auditorium. Class Day exercises follow Wednesday at 8 00 p m with diplomas presented by Dr A B Mulder.

Rural Fire Truck Makes Two Runs
Last Saturday night at 11 45 the Rural Fire Truck responded to Chas Breen’s farm home six miles east of town where the house was nearly consumed. Breen drove 1 12 miles to ring the alarm and the firemen arrived fifteen minutes later but could not save the building. Sunday afternoon they were sent to Mrs Josephine Cotton’s home in Colonville but the fire was already extinguished by youths at Vandewarker store. The blaze started at the roof from a chimney spark with little damage.

An ice cream social and fish pond will be held at Goldiville church Tuesday evening June 16. Everyone is invited. Frank McCaty and John Green were arrested Saturday by Marshal Meter for being drunk. McCaty pleaded guilty and was sentenced to twenty-five days in the county jail and Green paid a 15 fine plus costs.

Sixty Three Men Attend Lake George Fish Supper

More than sixty grade children participated in a well received operetta titled On Midsummer's Day last Thursday evening.
