Memorial Day Traffic Mostly Quiet in Clare
Clare area saw heavy traffic on highways and rural roads but no major incidents over Memorial Day weekend. Police Chief Elly Tice reported three minor accidents and praised the Police Auxiliary for parade traffic control. Sheriff Ray Lippold noted extremely heavy traffic in the afternoon with one minor accident.

Graduation Week for 156 Clare High School seniors begins Sunday with Baccalaureate at 8 p.m. in the school gym. Rev. Gilbert Miller will deliver the sermon. The Senior Trip to Schuss Mountain runs Monday through Wednesday. Commencement is 8 p.m. Thursday June 10 with Dan Campbell delivering the main address. Diplomas by Dr. J. R.
