Jake Colmus of Farwell marked his 80th birthday Sunday July 9 with a party and reunion. Five children and spouses attended along with 29 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. Relatives came from Farwell Clare Saginaw Pontiac Detroit and Lansing for a potluck dinner and celebrations.
The 4t H Bronco Busters Club will hold their monthly meeting Thursday with a horse practice at 11 a.m. on Tobacco River Trail Riders Club grounds. Bring a sack lunch. The July Chatterbox Farm Bureau meeting had a picnic at Shingle Lake Park Lake George on July 16 with seven families represented.
Sunday night Mr and Mrs Melvin Ockert stayed with Mr and Mrs Claise Scott of Freeland. They visited friends in Northville Monroe Toledo Adrian Lansing and St Johns meeting many neighbors linked to 4 H values and leadership.
